Temple Attendance
Our ward temple day is held the 2nd Thursday of each month. We encourage you to make a reservation for any session of any ordinance on that day to join us in serving and rejoicing in the temple as a ward.
You can schedule appointments for all temple ordinances at temples.churchofjesuschrist.org.
The temple will also accommodate walk-ins when possible.
We encourage every member to have a current temple recommend and prepare family names to take to the temple. Maintaining a current temple recommend is an outward expression of an inward commitment to keep our temple covenants, even when we are not able to attend the temple.
To renew your temple recommend:
· Contact Jacob Poor to schedule an appointment with a member of the bishopric
· Stake interviews are held Wednesdays, 7-8 pm on first come, first serve basis
1st and 3rd Wednesdays at the UTSA building
2nd and 4th Wednesdays at the Boerne building
The stake presidency encourages members to wear Sunday attire for temple recommend interviews.
NOTE that the San Antonio Temple has a very limited supply of Temple clothing for those who don’t bring temple clothes with them. The distribution center is open during the week for those who would like to purchase temple clothing. Please reach out to your organization or ward leadership if you have questions.
Remembering Christ
As part of the “Remember Him” initiative, a special video from President Dallin H. Oaks teaching and testifying of the resurrected, living Christ is available at this link. We encourage all to watch it as we focus on remembering the Savior in preparation for Easter.
The Area Presidency presentation on “Remember Him” can be found at North America Southwest Area Devotional: Remember Him (ENG). Consider the following questions:
What feelings or impressions did you have while listening to this broadcast?
What are some things you have done or might do to increase your focus on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ in your home?
What can we do, individually and as a ward family, to invite more of our nonmember friends to Remember Jesus Christ by worshipping with us at church every Sunday?
Do you have any thoughts in response to Elder Stevenson’s question, “How do we model the teaching and celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Easter story, with the same balance, fulness, and rich religious tradition of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Christmas story?” (“The Greatest Story Ever Told, Liahona, May 2023, 6).
What are some of the blessings we might experience as individuals, families, and a ward if we increase our focus on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ?

You can access this training by signing into your Church account and searching for “youth protection”. The training is valid for 3 years. If you don’t know your status, please check with a member of the bishopric.
